Dove grey is the perfect shade to accent the rhinestone-studded bow detail and brings out its glittering, vintage-inspired beauty. It’s hard to make a light-colored clutch look appropriate for cold weather, but this is exactly the sort of thing that I would love to pair with a sweater dress and 1940s-inspired retro coat.
And then there’s the matter of the materials used. The leather is so smooth and perfect-looking that I wouldn’t have guessed that it was actually leather on first inspection, and that’s exactly the kind of leather that needs to be used if it’s supposed to be evening-appropriate. The types of rhinestones that were chosen are also perfect for the look – they don’t look brand new and sparkly, but slightly gritty and old-looking (in a good way). The bag could pass for an exquisite vintage piece, but this Chloe leather bow clutch looks just as appropriate on the store shelves today.

If a bag is designed by fashion house Yves Saint Laurent, it’s almost a guarantee that the timeless design will always stay in style. The color is Ivory / Brown. Made of the ribbed canvas with leather trim and brasstone hardware, the bag has side snap button closure patch pockets and top snap button closure. Besides, the side fold snap pockets for expansion.

I realize this Mulberry handbag is merely made of fabric, but the illustration brings an entire new dimension to the plate. The Mulberry Quilted Fabric Shopper showcases an illustrated appliqué from a Julie Verhoeven design on both the front and the back. The design on the front lures me in, showing a chic female face with half her face hidden by a red scarf. I wonder who this woman is, what she is feeling, and if she loves being the center of attention on the handbag. The chain link shoulder strap and leather shoulder panels really spice the bag up and give it an elegant notch.

The Valentino leopard print goat hair bag brings together a leather bow detail at the front of the bag with a leopard-print goat hair body. Leopard print is a popular animal print that when put on a handbag usually skates a fine line between fabulous and trashy.
So where does this bag fall? Let’s go over the details. I really am liking that the bow detail is incorporated on this bag, bringing back the signature feminine touch that I crave from Valentino. The shape of the bag has a nice slouch, but I do not like the way it fits on the model. I like a handbag with ample shoulder drop, and this bag does not seem to have it. Then we have the leopard-print goat-hair. The print itself looks good for a leopard print. The finished product however is not cutting it for me. I must admit, for a leopard print bag this is a very nice one though.

It’s this Valentino Green Satin Bow Front Clutch. Sure, the brighter satin and involves a decidedly more rigid and complex, but I actually prefer this darker version. First of all, let’s chat about the color. I believe that the color of a bag is a main component of its foundation, and this color certainly passes. The dark, forest green is the perfect shade for the remaining weeks of autumn and will certainly carry you through the winter, spring and summer- believe me when I say this color is striking against a white prairie dress.
Plus, the simpler construction makes for a clutch that will certainly be easier to grasp, not to mention that the satin remains every bit as lustrous. Due to the simple, flat design of the bow that contrasts many extremely constructed flower Valentino bags, the color and the texture take center stage.

Over the past year or two, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for what Prada does with its accessories. The brand makes the best nondescript everyday bags in the industry, bar none, which isn’t the kind of compliment I’m wont to throw around without merit. Prada’s accessories always provide a signature minimal counterpoint to Miuccia’s often dazzling runway clothes; think of them as an anchor. In that sense, this bag is par for the Prada course. But with the lovely grey color variation, functional shape and gorgeous leather, I’m not sure how this bag could be par for anything. It’s the kind of purchase you won’t regret because you’ll be too busy not only using the bag, but also accepting compliments from envious friends and strangers alike.

I really want to like the Dolce & Gabbana miss rouche distressed tote. It’s punky, edgy, soft, and has a leopard-print lining. It’s not over-designed or overly complicated. The leather is simply left baggy instead of pulled tight at the seams. I bet it’s light, too.
Or maybe it’s just that it’s black. The very similar miss rouche distressed tote is hitting a homerun for me, but it comes in a greyish white that makes the purse not quite so…garbage bag. You can also see the slouchy details much more clearly with the lighter color, and the bothersome extra shoulder strap appears to be something that can be removed. A much better effort, all in all. It’s the kind of thing that I would be excited to carry.

This design is a product of an era when women had few social responsibilities beyond their families and appearances. At just an inch deep, Valentino has hardly created an everyday bag for a mom on the go, yet it’s still too big to be used convincingly as a clutch. This is the bag you reach for if you’re truly dedicated to creating a retro look, but for most women, it will still only be a once-in-a-while kind of treat.
do i hope that it was a little bit bigger, at least in depth, i mean, with the amount of keys that i have i don`t think it`s fit in that cute purse!

We all know that I’d want a different color, of course, because of my deep-seated aversion to tan. I’d also prefer a few functional changes: If the top zippers could extend a bit further down the sides of the bag for a wider opening, that would be much appreciated, as would a lighter lining. My keys always manage to slide to the bottom, no matter how small a bag might be, and beige canvas instead of chocolate brown makes a world of difference. Mulberry is headed in the right direction with this design, and it’s an aesthetic winner for sure. This Mulberry leather bag is already a strong contender for my affections because of the separate pocket on the front – perfect for easy cell phone access.
